About the Home

Bupa Willoughby is a modern care home set in a lush, leafy suburb on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. You’ll be close to the local community with neighbouring; school, church, parks, Chatswood shopping precinct, local shops and transport links nearby. It consists of 85 beds, with a variety of care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

About the Role

To deliver effective support to the hospitality function within the care home, including catering,cleaningand laundry

Use your fantasticfood services and cleaningskills in a role where you really can make a differenceby providingour residents with an empathetic and personal approach.

About you

Previouscatering / food service or cleaningexperience preferred but not essential.

You will be a team player and someone who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable.

Duties

- Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, qualityand hygiene standards
- Complete required documentation and reporting
- Respond to residents’ queries and requests
- Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linen
- Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep,



provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing
- Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collectionin the residents’rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas

Skills and Experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential
- Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
- You will have an understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised.
