Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers.

We are partnering with a long-term specialist Disability Service provider operating out of Port Pirie and we have plenty of work opportunities currently available within their SIL services.

Female Support Workers are required for this role due to female clients' requests with personal hygiene needs.

What you need:

- Experience supporting people with complex physical & intellectual disabilities in a SIL setting
- Cert III in Individual Support or relevant
- Australian Driver's License - South Australian class C
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Manual handling Training
- Medication Training Face to Face training
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Working with Children Check (paid employment)
- Reliable smart phone with data

Overview of the role:

- Provide day-to-day support to people with a disability in a SIL setting to help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
- 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm), overnight (predominately sleep overs)
- 6am - 9am, 2pm - 8pm, 4pm - 10pm, & sleep overs shifts to be covered




- Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, use of manual handling equipment, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals.
- Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
- Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
- Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
- Must be able to drive company vans to transport participants to community-based outings.
