The Centre is responsible for the operational excellence and sustainable management of the University's physical assets through the delivery of services including building maintenance, capital projects, planning and space management, groundskeeping, security, amenities and campus support.

The Centre plays a pivotal role in enabling the University's mission by maintaining safe, efficient, and welcoming environments that supports excellence in teaching, research, industry and community engagement. Managing multiple campuses, we ensure operational consistency while tailoring services to meet the unique needs of each campus.

About the Opportunity

The Manager, Office of Campus Environments leads the operational oversight, governance and administrative functions that support the effective delivery of Campus Environments services and strategic priorities. The role provides leadership across business operations, portfolio reporting, governance coordination,



compliance oversight and executive support services to enable effective management of the University’s physical asset portfolio and infrastructure programs.

In this newly established role, you will be responsible for leading the operational management of the Office of Campus Environments, ensuring effective coordination and oversight of Environmental, Social, Governance and Financial support services across the Centre.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:
A relevant postgraduate qualification and significant experience or equivalent expertise gained through a mix of education, experience, and professional accreditation.

Proven leadership in supporting and empowering high-performing, collaborative teams that value diversity and deliver on organisational priorities.

- Substantial experience in tertiary education sector and/or relevant disciplines within similar industry sectors.
- Fosters collaboration and a productive team dynamic, leveraging diverse strengths to drive the achievement of results with a talent for building positive relationships and partnerships across ECU and with external communities to achieve shared outcomes
- An ability to focus strategically and design and develop forward-thinking strategies that respond to challenges and opportunities, aligning with ECU’s vision.
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders providing evidence-based, strategic advice and developing tailored solutions to address organisational challenges and opportunities
- The ability to think ahead and embrace innovation, developing strategies and plans that align with ECU’s long-term vision and goals as a leading, future-focused university.
