We are currently seeking 2 experienced and dedicated Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Recovery (PACU) team within our acute hospital.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for motivated nurses who are passionate about delivering exceptional post-anaesthetic care in a fast-paced acute clinical environment. As a Recovery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe recovery of patients following surgery, providing comprehensive assessment, monitoring, and evidence-based nursing care.

Working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will be committed to delivering patient-centred care, maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice, and contributing to positive patient outcomes. We are looking for compassionate professionals with excellent clinical judgement, robust communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic perioperative setting.

Requirements

- Solid clinical skillset in a hospital setting




- Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
- You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service
- You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
- Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
- Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years' perioperative experience
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Previous leadership/management experience in theatres desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication and sound clinical judgement
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and support teams
- Effective organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- A supportive and collaborative approach to team management
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse




- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team
- Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded, though not essential
- Ability to work independently and within a team structure

Other Requirements

- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- Proof of immunisation against specified Infectious Diseases, including COVID-19
