A highly regarded, privately-owned Melbourne commercial builder is appointing a Senior Project Manager into the top of its delivery team, sitting directly beneath the directors. It's a deliberate move. As the founders step back from day-to-day delivery, they're building the next layer of senior leadership, and they want someone who can grow into a Construction Manager brief over the next 18 to 24 months.

This is not a "same job, recent logo" move. It's a mapped, performance-based pathway to running multiple project teams and taking genuine operational oversight off the directors' plates.

Is this you?

- An established Senior Project Manager with a track record of delivering commercial building projects over $30 million.
- Strong education and independent-school experience, with high-end, architecturally detailed work a real plus.
- You run your projects autonomously, escalating the genuine issues while resolving the day-to-day yourself.
- Confident managing clients, consultants and stakeholders,



and credible representing a builder through tender interviews and submissions.
- A natural leader and mentor to your project teams.
- Commercially sharp across programme, procurement, cost, risk and delivery.
- Likely coming from an established Tier 2 or quality mid-tier builder.

What's on offer:

- A realistic, performance-based pathway toward Construction Manager, with the potential to oversee around 5 projects (Once the Construction Manager) and free up a Director as you step up. Earned, not automatic, and we'll be straight with you about that.
- A genuine seat at the senior table, with direct access to the directors and founders and real influence over how the business wins and delivers its larger work.
- The chance to help shape the company's next phase of growth and the projects it puts in front of clients, as you deliver their larger (+$30M) builds as the Senior PM
- Often better hours and far less bureaucracy than a Tier 1 or large Tier 2, for a comparable package.
- A competitive package circa $220/230k - $250/260k base plus super, depending on experience.
