About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated High Risk Work Trainer & Assessor to deliver and assess nationally recognised High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) training. The successful applicant will deliver engaging theory and practical training while ensuring compliance with the Standards for RTOs, WorkSafe Western Australia requirements, and relevant training package requirements.

Training may include one or more of the following High Risk Work Licence classes:

- Forklift (LF)
- Order Picking Forklift (LO)
- Dogging (DG)
- Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Scaffolding (SB, SI, SA)
- Rigging (RB, RI, RA)
- Slewing Mobile Crane (C2, C6, C1)
- Non-Slewing Crane (CN)
- Vehicle Loading Crane (CV)
- Elevated Work Platform (WP)
- Boom-type EWP (where applicable)
- Hoist and Personnel Hoist classes

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality classroom, practical and workplace-based training.
- Assess learner competency using nationally endorsed assessment tools.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and supervise learner activities.
- Maintain accurate training, assessment and attendance records.
- Ensure compliance with ASQA, RTO Standards and WorkSafe WA requirements.
- Maintain training equipment and ensure a safe training setting.
- Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide mentoring and support to learners throughout their training.





Essential Selection Criteria

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent, or a qualification meeting current VET credential requirements).
- Current High Risk Work Licence(s) relevant to the classes being delivered.
- Demonstrated industry experience in construction, mining, logistics, engineering or a related sector.
- Current knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and safe work practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to travel to metropolitan and regional training locations as required.

Desirable

- Current WorkSafe WA High Risk Work Assessor Accreditation for relevant licence classes.
- Experience delivering training in the mining, construction or resources sector.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- First Aid qualification.
- Working at Heights, Confined Space and other relevant industry competencies.
