A tier one client is scaling a lean, high impact security architecture team as it pushes deeper into cloud native engineering and AI assurance.

This is a 12 month contract for a senior security architect who wants genuine breadth across cloud, API security and Kubernetes, on a up-to-date stack with real influence from day one.

This is a daily rate 12 month contract which can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, on a hybrid working arrangement.

This is a team that stays close to the global security landscape and works hands on with the technologies shaping it.

You will shape secure by design outcomes on new initiatives, assess existing platforms, identify and rate risk against the organisation’s appetite, and lend expert views where teams need them. This suits a senior architect who wants breadth, autonomy and a modern technical canvas rather than a narrow lane.

Core Responsibilities:

- Partner with delivery teams early to embed security into design across a cloud native estate




- Assess platforms and designs; identify risks and the changes needed to close them
- Identify control gaps; contextualise against risk appetite; rate and publish
- Provide expert consultancy on specific security and regulatory questions
- Contribute advisory input to incident response where required

Experience Required:

- Strong cloud security experience in a modern cloud native environment; AWS Or GCP
- Demonstrable API security depth; API contracts, threats and controls
- Experience with microservices and managed Kubernetes such as GKE or EKS
- Application security grounding including OWASP threats
- Genuine understanding of agentic AI and its security risks; agent workflows and frameworks
