Position Summary

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the retail store. This role helps drive sales, delivers excellent customer service, manages staff, maintains inventory, and ensures the store operates efficiently while meeting company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store.
- Provide outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate team members to achieve sales and performance targets.
- Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling.
- Monitor sales performance and help implement strategies to achieve business goals.
- Ensure merchandise is well presented and the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock receiving, replenishment, and stocktakes.
- Assist with cash handling, banking, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and loss prevention procedures.
- Act as Store Manager during periods of absence.





Qualifications and Skills

- Previous experience in retail, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system proficiency.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
