Are you an experienced nursing leader with a passion for workforce coordination, operational excellence and delivering outstanding patient outcomes? The Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an accomplished Nursing Unit Manager to lead the strategic and day-to-day management of nursing and midwifery staffing at Gosford Hospital.

About the Opportunity

As the Nursing Unit Manager for the Nursing Support Roster and Discharge Lounge, you will provide operational leadership for nursing and midwifery workforce planning, staffing coordination and roster management across Gosford Hospital.

Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day operational coordination of the Discharge Lounge, and nursing staffing resources, ensuring optimal patient flow, workforce utilisation, and the provision of secure, high-quality, patient-centred care across Gosford Hospital.
- Manage the Nursing Support Roster, optimising workforce resources, recruitment, performance and budget outcomes.
- Collaborate with Nurse Unit Managers and operational leaders to support service delivery, patient flow and workforce planning.
- Inspire and develop a high-performing team while driving quality improvement, clinical governance and a culture of excellence.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), a current NSW Working with Children Check, National Criminal Record Check, and an unrestricted Australian driver's licence valid for NSW.
- Extensive post-registration acute care nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership in workforce coordination, roster management and service delivery.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health management (or working towards one) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Proven ability to lead and support teams, manage change,



build collaborative relationships and drive quality improvement and patient-centred care.
- Strong financial, communication and organisational skills, with experience managing budgets and using Microsoft Office and electronic roster management systems.
