Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for a Senior Clinician - Autism Spectrum Disorder to join our team on a part time (16 hours per fortnight) basis on a 12-month parental leave contract.
About the Role
The Autism Spectrum Disorder Senior Clinician will be responsible for:
- Working collaboratively with Paediatricians, Consultant Infant, Child & Youth Psychiatrists, and Consultant Adult Psychiatrists, in providing patient care and assessments.
- Assisting with client case management
- Actively assist families to engage with services that may provide suitable ongoing care.
- Establish and maintain links with ICYMHS staff to facilitate early identification of young people who may benefit from services, and supporting timely referrals.
- Provide best-practice advice and consultation, as necessary, regarding patients with a comorbid neurodivergent presentation and psychiatric disorder.
- Establish and maintain links with key service providers to facilitate access to assessment and care/treatment provision
About You
- Appropriate post graduate qualification in Psychology, or Bachelor of Speech pathology or Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with AHPRA or Speech Pathology Australia membership.
- Experience in the provision of clinical services to paediatric patients.
- Considerable clinical experience with neurodevelopmental assessment and provision of intervention – with a particular interest in autism spectrum disorder.
