Job Impact
We are seeking professional and customer-focused Gatehouse Security Officers to join our team in Truganina, Victoria .
Working within a busy industrial and logistics environment, you will be responsible for managing gatehouse operations, controlling site access, monitoring security systems, and supporting the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities.
As the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and employees, you will play a critical role in maintaining secure site operations while delivering outstanding customer service and professionalism.
About the Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing gatehouse operations and ensuring all access and security procedures are followed in accordance with site requirements.
Employment Type: Full Time Permanent
Location: Truganina, VIC
Roster: 4-week rotating roster across all shift spans
- Monday to Friday: 8-hour shifts
- 4:00am – 12:00pm
- 12:00pm – 8:00pm
- 8:00pm – 4:00am
- Weekends & Public Holidays: 12‑hour shifts
- 4:00am – 4:00pm
- 4:00pm – 4:00am
Flexibility to work all rostered shifts is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Managing vehicle movement and access control for both vehicles and personnel.
- Checking emails, administration and required reporting.
- Identify and report any security risks to the client contact and client services manager.
- Patrol duties (Vehicle)
- Completion of digital occurrence logbooks and incident reporting.
- Provide perimeter security by ensuring there is no unauthorized access to the site or vulnerabilities to the physical and electronic security integrity of the site perimeter.
- Surveillance and monitoring of all entry gates, site buildings and grounds via CCTV, and the visitor management system process.
- Conduct site inductions
- Local and remote asset alarm response protocols to be actioned.
- Site rule & PPE enforcement
- Ensure only authorised persons and vehicles enter the facility.
About You
You will bring:
- Current Victorian Security Licence
- Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate (1 year validity)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar setting, managing client relationships.
- Ability to work 4-week rotating roster on a full-time basis across all shift spans.
- Ability to work in a high‑pressure environment.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and self‑supervise.
- Advanced Computer Skills - literacy in all MS Office products.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal & written.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills - verbal and written.
- Report writing and presentation skills.
- Like working in a team environment
