About the Role

YMCA NSW is a leading not‑for‑profit community organisation dedicated to helping people live healthy, active lives. We’re passionate about providing quality swimming instruction in a safe, supportive, and inclusive workplace for people of all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

- Teach swimming skills to children and adults, following the Swim and Survive program and other relevant syllabi.
- Deliver safe, qualified swimming lessons that progress student ability.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs and abilities.
- Provide feedback to students and parents on progress.
- Maintain a clean and protected pool environment.
- Follow YMCA NSW policies, including child protection and risk management.

What We’re Looking For

- Current CPR certificate.
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.




- Experience teaching children with special needs.
- Additional swim teaching certifications.
