About the role

Our client is looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager to establish and grow their Australian Fire Services business. You’ll build the operation from the ground up—establishing systems, developing a trusted subcontractor network, securing accreditation, winning clients and creating the foundations for a high-performing national business. With the backing of a well-resourced business, you’ll have the freedom to shape strategy, build culture and make commercial decisions that directly influence the success of the company. As they acquire established fire businesses, you’ll also inherit real revenue, clients and teams to lead from day one - this is a build backed by acquisitions, not a blank page.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Managing P&L; and driving commercial performance
- Building the Fire Services operation from the ground up
- Developing business systems, operational processes and quality assurance frameworks
- Establishing NSW licensing, accreditation and compliance requirements
- Taking full ownership of operational delivery, customer satisfaction and service quality
- Helping identify, execute and integrate acquisitions as the platform grows - then running the businesses we acquire
- Recruiting and developing future operational and technical teams

You’ve likely run a fire protection or building service business - or a substantial branch of one - and you’re ready to do it again, this time with serious capital behind you and a direct financial stake in the value you create.

You’ll Bring

Commercial Leadership

- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- A clear understanding of what drives profitable service businesses

Operational Excellence

- Experience leading service delivery—not simply sales
- Strong understanding of compliance, quality assurance and operational performance

Fire Industry Expertise

- Experience across inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems
- Understanding of NSW accreditation requirements (FPAS / Competent Fire Safety Practitioner)

Growth Experience

- Built a new division, branch or business
- Led significant business growth
- Experience integrating acquisitions into an existing business
