The purpose of the role is to define and execute the strategy of the Bank's Business Finance activities and to lead and scale this function as part of the Lending & Everyday Banking Leadership team. This extends to the acquisition, credit assessment, servicing, retention and collections activities related to financial planner and mortgage broking customers (and potentially other similar customer groups).
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the strategy for the Bank's Business Finance activities.
- Lead and scale the Business Finance function within the Lending & Everyday Banking Leadership team.
- Oversee acquisition, credit assessment, servicing, retention and collections for financial planner and mortgage broking customers (and related groups).
Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership experience within Banking with a robust background in commercial lending / small business financing in the Australian market.
- Experience in credit assessment and sales related to commercial lending / small business financing is highly preferred.
- Additional experience in customer service, Business Banking, or Financial Services Licensee, or other experience in financial services including mortgage lending is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead significant changes in ways of working and to influence and build capability across a national marketplace in business lending or financial services.
- Experience in development and delivery of key market business plans with execution through a dedicated team of relationship managers and credit assessors.
- Proven leadership in achieving excellent results and best practice in a rapidly changing market.
