We’re partnered with a global, technology-driven quantitative trading firm expanding its exchange connectivity engineering capability across APAC.

This is a leadership role focused on building and enhancing low-latency exchange connectivity systems that sit at the heart of a high-frequency trading platform. You'll lead a team of highly skilled C++ engineers while remaining hands‑on in the design and delivery of performance‑critical software used across global markets.

The role offers a combination of technical leadership, architecture, and engineering ownership, with direct collaboration across trading, quantitative research, and infrastructure teams.

What You’ll Work On

- Designing and developing low-latency exchange connectivity platforms
- Leading the delivery of complex, high-performance C++ systems from design through production
- Managing and mentoring a team of software engineers
- Exchange connectivity, market data, and order routing infrastructure
- Architecture, performance optimisation, and latency reduction initiatives
- Full software development lifecycle including requirements, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support
- Cross-functional collaboration with trading, quantitative research, and infrastructure teams
- Driving engineering best practices, technical direction, and continuous improvement

Required Skills





- 10+ years experience developing high-performance C++ applications on Linux
- 5+ years experience leading software engineering teams
- 3+ years leading engineering teams within financial markets or trading environments
- Strong experience building exchange connectivity or market connectivity platforms
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design, multi-threading, networking, IPC, sockets, STL, Boost, and performance optimisation
- Experience delivering complex, low-latency production systems at scale
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

- Experience with market data infrastructure and trading systems
- Knowledge of financial products and electronic trading platforms
- Experience leading large, cross-functional engineering projects
- Strong architectural design and technical strategy experience
- Background in high-frequency trading or quantitative trading environments
