Lifeline Australia is a national suicide prevention charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. We are committed to empowering Australians to be suicide-safe through connection, compassion and hope.

13YARN is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander 24/7 crisis support line funded by the Australian Government with the support of Lifeline. Established in 2022, 13YARN was developed in collaboration with Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Australia and is run by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Lifeline Australia is recruiting to its 13YARN Grant Manager role. A contracts and relationship management position, this role is predominantly responsible for managing the requirements of the grant that funds Lifeline's 13YARN service.

This is a targeted position and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the National Manager, Grant Management and Delivery, the 13YARN Grant Manager is responsible for:

- delivery of all 13YARN grant related obligations in collaboration with the 13YARN management team and other internal business units.
- tracking performance of 13YARN service against agreed grant activity work plans and budgets.
- being Lifeline's 13YARN point of contact for, and supporting and fostering transparent, positive and productive relationships with the funding body,



the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
- establishing appropriate service agreement arrangements with Lifeline Members associated with the 13YARN program's delivery.
- maintaining positive and effective relationships with 13YARN's multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you are an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person who is:

- a capable qualified adept at fostering and developing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve results, and operating as a point of contact for external bodies.
- highly organised and understands the importance of project management and planning in achieving contractual obligations including the development of workplans, budgets, reports and acquittals.
- an effective communicator experienced in preparing high quality, narrative-led and data-driven reports that positively present program and service delivery results to external stakeholders and funders.
- known for your strong attention to detail.
- enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

- Experience in managing relationships with external stakeholders, ideally including government.
- Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders,



building and maintaining relationships and working with colleagues to find solutions to problems.
- Able to manage a busy workload with multiple deadlines, requiring coordination across diverse programs with numerous internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and tracking progress against budgets.
- Experience sourcing, interpreting and presenting data, ideally using Power BI.
- Organised, able to work to a calendar of tasks and deadlines, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in contribution to project implementation and to working with a project team.
