Annandale Christian College (Kindy–Year 12) is seeking reliable and motivated Casual Cleaners to join our team and support the presentation, cleanliness and safety of our College facilities. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our campus reflects our commitment to excellence and care in a Christ-centred learning community.

About the Role

The primary function of the Cleaner is to carry out cleaning duties across all College facilities according to the cleaning schedule, as directed by the Lead Cleaner or Facilities leadership team.

As an integral member of the College Resources Team, you will help maintain high presentation standards and ensure all OH&S; requirements relevant to cleaning in an educational setting are met.

This is a casual position, with hours allocated across Monday to Friday as required.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Daily dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and wiping of surfaces
- Daily toilet cleaning
- Checking and refilling toilet paper, paper towels and other consumables
- Cleaning ceiling fans, air conditioning units and water bubblers
- Window cleaning
- Advising the Lead Cleaner of maintenance or repair needs
- Cleaning and maintaining College equipment
- Always conducting safe work practices
- Working cooperatively within the Cleaning and Resources team.
- Building friendly and respectful relationships with staff and students
- Supporting the College Mission and ethos
- Other duties as directed by the Lead Cleaner or College leadership

- A commitment to child safety, and hold a current working with children blue card (paid) or ability to obtain

Physical Requirements

This role involves a high level of physical activity. Applicants must have the physical capacity to perform tasks such as:

- Standing and walking for extended periods (including stairs and ramps)
- Lifting and carrying rubbish and cleaning materials (in line with OH&S; practices)
- Pushing and pulling cleaning equipment
- Climbing ladders to access high areas
- Crouching and kneeling to clean low areas
- Reaching overhead and handling items of varying weight
- Operating cleaning equipment (e.g. steamers, pressure washers) safely and correctly
