About the Role

We are seeking experienced and professional Retail Security Officers to join our growing team at Vicpro Security Pty Ltd (Allied Security Australia). The positions are available on full-time, part-time and casual bases Monday to Sunday shifts range between 0900-2200 based in Adelaide SA 5000.
As a Retail Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of retail and commercial premises, protecting assets, and ensuring a secure environment for customers and staff. This is a hands-on role that requires vigilance, professionalism and excellent customer service skills.

You will work versatile shifts to provide coverage across our retail clients' locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Guards are to remain outside the store to be a visual deterrent
- ID25 check where required
- Control access to premises through inspection of identification, verification of credentials and management of entry and exit points
- Respond to incidents with professionalism and composure,



including contacting and leasing with law enforcement.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and security logs, documenting all relevant information for review and investigation
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors and staff, whilst maintaining a professional appearance and demeanour
- Participate in security training and stay current with security procedures, legislation and best practices
- Collaborate with other security personnel and client management to ensure effective security coverage and response
- Deny entry under breaches to the RSA

What we're looking for

- Current Victorian Security License, with Crowd controller endorsement.
- Proven experience working as a security officer in retail or similar environments
- Strong understanding of security protocols, procedures and best practices relevant to retail premises
- Excellent observation and attention to detail to identify potential security risks and suspicious behaviour
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills via push to talk and face to face with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties that may require standing for extended periods and responding to incidents




- Reliability and flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Sound knowledge of relevant security legislation and regulations, including the Security Industry Code of Conduct
- First Aid qualifications (preferred but not essential)
- A clean criminal record and willingness to undergo background checks
