About the role

Inception Energy are seeking an experienced SAA accredited Solar and Battery Electrician and experienced roofer/labourer to join our highly skilled and experienced team to complete solar and battery installations in metro Adelaide.

A fully stocked van, uniform and generous hourly rate provided to the electrician.

Fuel allowance and an hourly rate of $40-$45 on offer for the roofer position.

Key responsibilities

- Installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential properties

- Performing electrical work associated with solar installations, including wiring, inverter installation, switchboard modifications and safety disconnects

- Undertaking roofing work necessary to accommodate solar systems, including roof assessment, repairs, penetrations and weatherproofing

- Conducting thorough inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with Australian standards and regulations

- Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults in solar systems and providing maintenance services





- Following all health and safety protocols and procedures, including working at heights safely and correctly

- Liaising with customers to explain systems, address concerns and ensure customer satisfaction

- Maintaining accurate records of installations, testing and maintenance work completed

- Keeping up to date with industry developments and best practices in solar technology and roofing techniques

What we're looking for

- A valid electrical licence (Electrician) recognised in South Australia, demonstrating current competency and compliance with electrical standards

- Proven experience in solar PV system installation, with a solid understanding of electrical principles and safety requirements (SAA accreditation is required)

- Demonstrated roofing experience, including roof assessment, repair work and the ability to work safely at heights

- Knowledge of Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033) and building codes relevant to solar installations

- A valid Working at Heights certificate or willingness to obtain one

- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport for travel to customer sites

- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly

- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions

- Preferred:



experience with solar monitoring systems, battery installations or experience in a similar renewable energy role
