We are currently seeking experienced Condition Monitoring Technicians to join our newly created Underground Maintenance team at Enterprise. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team as Norton continues to strengthen its underground maintenance capability and take a more proactive approach to equipment reliability, condition monitoring and asset performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Mechanical Reliability Superintendent, the Condition Monitoring Technician will be responsible for collecting, analysing and reporting condition monitoring data across underground heavy mobile equipment.

This role plays a key part in identifying early signs of equipment failure, supporting proactive maintenance planning and reducing unplanned downtime across the underground fleet.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting routine condition monitoring activities, including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing and oil sampling.

- Analysing trends and identifying early failure indicators.

- Preparing detailed equipment health reports with recommended actions.

- Working closely with Reliability Engineers, Planners, Mechanics, Supervisors and OEMs.

- Raising SAP/AMT notifications and defect reports based on condition severity and site risk.

- Escalating critical and high-risk defects in line with site protocols.





- Supporting shutdown inspections and major equipment health assessments.

- Contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Supporting the development and improvement of the condition monitoring program.

- Maintaining diagnostic equipment and ensuring all work is completed safely and accurately.

Essential requirements:

- ISO 9712 Visual Testing (VT) Level 2 Certification.

- ISO 9712 Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) Level 1 or 2.

- ICML MLA Level I Oil Analysis.

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry maintenance environments.

- Current manual driver’s license.

- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and CMMS/data acquisition systems such as AMT, SAP, VIMS or SKF systems

Desirable:

- ISO 9712 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level 1 or 2

- Thermography Level 1 Certification

- Level 1 Vibration Analysis Certification

- Trade qualification such as HD Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Automotive Mechanical or equivalent

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Reliability or Mechanical Technology
