The Role

A current and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our high-performing Brisbane Family Law team on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal support role where you’ll work closely with both senior and junior lawyers ensuring smooth file management, exceptional client service and streamlined operations. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Preparing and formatting legal documents and correspondence
File management
Client management
Liaising with clients, barristers, report writers, mediators etc
Diary management and workflow coordination
Billing – end to end process – including debtor management
Filing
Archiving
Safe custody
Dictaphone transcription

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience as a legal assistant, with a genuine interest in family law, and have solid administration experience in a professional services workplace.



The successful applicant will be an integral member of a cohesive and collaborative team and will possess the following skills:
A strong understanding of legal processes and confidentiality
The ability to prioritise tasks and display initiative
Excellent communication skills
