About Soi Fire

Soi Fire is a brand-current fire-led Thai fusion kitchen opening in Potts Point in late August 2026. Bold, smoky, live-fire food that blends the punch of Thai flavour with the craft of open-flame cooking. We're looking for a Grill Chef / CDP to own our fire station and run the line alongside the Head Chef from day one.

Key Responsibilities
Running the grill and fire station — charcoal, wood, hibachi, the works
Executing dishes with speed, consistency and precision through service
Managing your section — mise en place, prep flow, stock rotation, cleanliness
Working closely with the Head Chef on quality, plating and pacing
Mentoring commis and junior chefs on the line
Compliance with food safety, HACCP and WHS standards

About You
Minimum 2 years' experience on grill / live-fire cookery (asador, yakitori, robata, wood-fired, hibachi — all welcome)
A palate you can trust and pride in every plate that leaves your section
Calm under pressure, fast, and clean on the line




Knowledge of or interest in Thai flavour — helpful but not essential; we'll teach you what you don't know
Team player who takes direction well and gives it clearly
Full Australian working rights — no visa sponsorship available

Hours & Roster
Wednesday – Saturday: from 3pm
Sunday: from 11am (trading 12pm – 8:30pm)
38 – 44 hours per week
Two consecutive days off every week (Monday & Tuesday)

What We Offer
Salary of $75,000 – $80,000 tips
