Associate, Legal Search & Recruitment @ Montgomery Advisory — Excellent prospect for a Senior Associate to join a top-tier Corporate M&A; practice in Brisbane.

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
Advise on the full spectrum of corporate transactions, including public and private M&A;, ECM, joint ventures, restructures, and corporate governance matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation, shareholder agreements, underwriting arrangements, and regulatory filings.
Manage complex transactions end-to-end, coordinating with clients, advisers, and stakeholders to ensure effective execution.
Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, contributing to training, knowledge sharing, and team leadership.
Support business development initiatives, client relationship management, and thought leadership activities.

Key Requirements




At least 6 years’ post-admission experience in corporate law, ideally gained at a top-tier or leading national/international firm.
Strong experience advising on M&A;, equity capital markets, and foreign investment matters.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with sound commercial judgment.
Proven ability to manage complex matters with autonomy and professionalism.
A team-oriented, client-focused mindset with enthusiasm for mentoring and contributing to a high-performing team.
