Project Planning & Execution
Scope Definition: Define project scope, deliverables, and goals in collaboration with executive sponsors and security teams.
Roadmapping: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and milestones using standard methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Resource Allocation: Assign tasks to security analysts, engineers, and external vendors while managing workloads effectively.
Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and build business cases for current security software or tool procurement.
Risk Mitigation:
Identify potential roadblocks—such as technical limitations or delayed vendor deliveries—and develop proactive contingency plans.
Stakeholder Communication & Governance
Reporting: Provide regular project status updates, highlighting budget, timelines, and security metrics for leadership teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align diverse teams (IT, legal, HR, and external contractors) to ensure unified support for security rollouts.
Compliance & Security Standards
Framework Alignment: Ensure project deliverables comply with established security frameworks, regulations, and legislation (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
Governance Enforcement: Support risk management by ensuring proper change processes are followed, such as during code reviews, accreditation phases, or penetration testing.
