About the Role
We are seeking an Accountant to join our team to undertake a varied mix of tax, compliance, and business advisory services. The role involves working with a broad range of clients, delivering high-quality accounting solutions while expanding your professional capabilities.
This position offers versatile working hours and is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, BAS lodgements for a diverse range of clients.
Provide practical tax compliance and business advisory support.
Maintain accurate client records and manage workflow to meet critical statutory deadlines.
Use a range of accounting and practice software, including HandiSoft, MYOB, Reckon, and Xero.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to build robust professional relationships.
Contribute positively to team collaboration,
especially during peak busy periods.
Participate in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.
About You
We look for motivated professionals who take pride in their work and want to grow within public practice. The ideal candidate should have:
Technical Capability: A minimum of 2 years' experience in Public Practice.
Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, advanced problem-solving abilities, and superior MS Excel / Word skills.
Work Ethic: Excellent time management, self-motivation, and the ability to prioritise tasks and handle peak periods effectively.
Communication: Robust verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
Qualifications: Possess or be actively pursuing relevant tertiary accounting qualifications.
