Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providing care to our patients, and we currentlyhave two casual vacancies based at Tūārangi Home in Ashburton.
Asa Healthcare Assistant you will assist nursing staff with patient cares whilstmaintaining a protected and clean work environment. You will enjoy working as partof a multidisciplinary team, have excellent interpersonal and organisationalskills, a high level of confidentiality and the ability to work well underpressure.
Thisrole is primarily based in Tūārangi Home, however at times you may be requiredto work in some of the other wards at Ashburton Hospital.
Aboutthe Service
Tūārangi Home is a 37 bed Residential Care facility that provides hospital level anddementia care at both rest home and hospital levels. We are a skilled anddedicated workforce, working within the dementia and hospital units to providequality care in a friendly setting.
We believe that dignity of allindividuals is paramount, and at Tūārangi we diligently maintain an atmosphereof empathy, non-judgmental and respectful care.
About You
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as ateam
Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Previous experience in a Healthcare Assistant role orsimilar is advantageous, but not essential
Previous experience working with people with dementiais advantageous, but not essential
A certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3 or 4) ora willingness to work towards one
Ability to cover shifts across Monday - Sunday;morning, afternoon and nights
