Lima Park, recently acquired, is a highly progressive 1,300 Ha pastoral property situated in the beautiful and fertile Swanpool region of North East Victoria.
The enterprise is a high-profile hub for premium livestock production, running a large-scale Angus herd comprising 300 Autumn breeders, 300 Spring breeders, and 120 yearling heifers.
The herd is supported by an elite Artificial Insemination (A.I.) and Embryo Transfer program run in affiliation with their renowned Angus Stud located in Dromana, culminating in Lima Park proudly hosting the prestigious annual Moorunga Angus on-property bull sale.
In addition to the cattle enterprise, the farm carries a commercial flock of 750 high-quality composite ewes.
Property management is highly structured, focusing entirely on high-yielding annual and perennial pastures and a targeted summer cropping program covering 300 Ha to ensure robust feed security.
The property boasts exceptional infrastructure, including a 32 Ha centre pivot and a 50 Ha recently upgraded flood irrigation system, alongside a well-maintained operational plant comprising premium spraying, seeding, mowing, and tedder equipment.
Our client seeks an experienced and motivated Senior Station Hand to join their dedicated team at Lima Park in Swanpool, working collaboratively alongside two full time team members and supporting casual staff.
In this position, you will play a hands-on role in driving production excellence across a high-performing mixed farming business.
Reporting to the management team, your key responsibilities will include comprehensive animal husbandry, operating modern machinery, and managing sophisticated irrigation systems.
To be successful, candidates must have previous,
practical farm experience and exposure to on-farm working environments.
You will actively assist in the day-to-day welfare, movement, and performance of both beef and sheep herds, while handling regular pasture and cropping maintenance utilising a modern John Deere tractor equipped with GPS guidance.
Possessing a current chemical certificate is highly preferred.

Must-Have Experience:Proven background in large-scale livestock handling and heavy tractor operations (non-negotiable).
On-Farm Background:A strict requirement of having previously lived on-farm in a professional working environment.
Technical Competency:Strong skills in animal husbandry, mixed pasture management, and operating GPS-guided machinery; a current chemical certificate is highly regarded.
Personality Traits:Highly cooperative team player who exhibits excellent flexibility, an enthusiastic attitude, and transparent honesty.
Licensing:A current, valid Australian driver's license is mandatory.
