This approach supports practical, industry-aligned skill development and encourages continuous professional growth for learners and trainers alike.Role Description The Trainer/Assessor in Production Horticulture, Landscape Construction, and Landscape Design is a full-time hybrid role based in Hahndorf, SA, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering one-on-one training sessions, assessing learner competency against accredited standards, and aligning training plans with workplace tasks and seasonal activities.
The role involves developing learning resources, maintaining accurate training and assessment records, and providing regular feedback and support to trainees and apprentices.
The Trainer/Assessor will collaborate with employers and learners to schedule site visits every 4–6 weeks,



ensure compliance with regulatory and RTO requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement of training programs.QualificationsStrong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and build positive relationships with learners and employers.Demonstrated training and teaching experience, ideally within vocational education, apprenticeships, or work-based learning environments.Practical experience in production horticulture, landscape construction, or landscape design, with an understanding of relevant industry practices and safety standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital tools for preparing resources, recording assessments, and managing learner documentation.Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., Certificate III/IV or higher in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or related field) and current TAE (Training and Assessment) qualification or willingness to obtain.Strong organizational skills, ability to manage travel and schedules across multiple worksites, and capacity to work independently in a hybrid setting.Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered training practices and ongoing professional development in vocational education.
