We're growing and are looking for a passionate Low-Intensity Mental Health Clinician to join our South West Queensland Mental Health Services team in Kingaroy.

About the Role
As a Low-Intensity Mental Health Clinician, you'll provide brief, evidence-based psychological interventions designed to improve wellbeing, build resilience, and support recovery.
Working with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and interpersonal challenges, you'll deliver up to 10 sessions per client while helping connect people with the supports they need.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct intake, assessment, treatment, and post-intervention evaluationsDeliver brief intervention and counselling approaches within a low-intensity mental health frameworkApply evidence-based therapeutic practices tailored to individual client needsMonitor client progress and adjust interventions as requiredIdentify and manage clinical risks professionally and in line with relevant guidelinesFacilitate referrals and connect clients with appropriate community and specialist servicesBuild and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWork effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and LGBTQIA+ communitiesBalance clinical responsibilities with administrative requirements while managing your own workload
The role is based in Kingaroy, with occasional travel throughout the local region during work hours.
What You'll Bring
Essential
A tertiary qualification (completed or nearing completion) in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Health, Nursing, Human Services, Community Development, or a related fieldExperience or a strong interest in working with vulnerable and marginalised populationsKnowledge of, or interest in, low-intensity mental health assessment and interventionUnderstanding of relevant legislation and professional frameworks guiding human services deliveryStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA collaborative, non-judgemental, and client-centred approachAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesA current Australian Driver's LicenceEligibility to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Desirable
Knowledge of local services and community supportsExperience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and LGBTQIA+ communities
