ARC Switchboards is a WA-based electrical switchboard manufacturer located in Wangara.
We design and manufacture high-quality electrical switchboards, distribution boards, control panels and custom metal enclosures for commercial, industrial, mining and infrastructure projects.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our workshop team and are seeking experienced tradespeople for the following roles:
Powder Coater
Sheetmetal Worker / Fabricator

About the Roles
Our workshop manufactures custom electrical switchboard enclosures, doors, panels, frames, gland plates, brackets and associated metal components.
Depending on your experience, you may be involved in powder coating, sheetmetal fabrication, welding, preparation, assembly support, or working from fabrication drawings.
We are looking for people who can work safely, think practically, maintain a high standard of finish, and contribute positively to the production team.
Powder Coater Responsibilities
Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking and hanging components
Apply powder coating to switchboard enclosures, doors, panels and fabricated components
Monitor finish quality, coverage, curing and colour consistency
Handle components carefully before and after coating
Maintain a clean, safe and organised powder coating area
Work with the fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines
Sheetmetal Worker / Fabricator Responsibilities
Fabricate sheet metal components and switchboard enclosures to specification
Read and interpret workshop drawings,



fabrication drawings and measurements
Cut, fold, drill, grind, weld and assemble metal components
Perform MIG/TIG welding and general fabrication tasks where required
Work with mild steel, aluminium and other sheet metal materials
Identify drawing or fabrication issues early and communicate with supervisors
Support practical improvements across the fabrication process
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in powder coating, sheetmetal fabrication, welding or workshop manufacturing
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality
Reliable, punctual and physically fit
Good attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Commitment to safe work practices
Current Australian work rights
Highly Regarded Experience
Electrical switchboard, cabinet or enclosure manufacturing
SolidWorks experience or ability to work from 3D fabrication drawings
MIG/TIG welding
CNC punching, folding, press brake or guillotine operation
Stainless steel or aluminium fabrication
Forklift licence
Experience in a commercial, industrial or mining manufacturing environment
