About the Role
Location:Williams House
Position:3-year-old Kindergarten Teacher
Employment Type:Part Time, Fixed Term
Employment Period:20 July **** to 11 December ****
FTE/Time Fraction:0.4 FTE (15.2 hours per week)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Kindergarten Teacher to lead our 3-Year-Old Kindergarten program.
This is an exciting opportunity to create a nurturing, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, grow and thrive.
Working within our Early Years team, you will play a key role in planning, implementing and evaluating a high-quality kindergarten program that responds to the individual strengths, interests and needs of each child.




Reporting to the Director of Early Years, you will collaborate closely with colleagues, families and the wider community to support children's learning and wellbeing.
The role includes observing and documenting children's development, fostering strong relationships with families, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, supporting fellow educators, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and quality standards.
Above all, you will actively uphold and contribute to the Christian values and ethos that underpin the life and mission of Christian College Geelong.
Selection Criteria
To be considered for this role, please address the following criteria in your application.
Your responses should contain relevant examples:
Contemporary knowledge of early childhood education, child development, curriculum frameworks and current educational practice, with the ability to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning programs.
Experience planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating high-quality, inclusive kindergarten programs that respond to children's individual strengths, interests and developmental needs.
A commitment to best practice, reflective practice and continuous improvement, including participation in skilled learning and quality improvement processes.
The ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with children, families, colleagues, community organisations and support services that enhance children's learning and wellbeing.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to mentor and support colleagues while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality and effective teamwork.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and quality standards,



together with a demonstrated commitment to the Christian values and ethos of Christian College Geelong.
What you bring
An approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.
Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to maintain).
Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and Victorian Kindergarten Funding Requirements.
Demonstrated experience working in an early childhood education setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
A genuine commitment to child-centred learning and family partnerships.
