Xavier Collegeis seeking a dependable and energeticCanteen and Uniform Shop Assistantto join our team.
This permanent, part time position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Canteen and Uniform Shop, providing customer service to students, staff, and families, while delivering hands‐on support across both service areas.
We have campuses atGawler Belt(7-12),Two Wells(R-11),Evanston(R-6) andRiverlea Park(opening in ****).
Travel between the campuses will be required.
This role offers ******* hours per week across41weeks of the year, including the week prior to the commencement of Term 1.
The hours/days are negotiable with the suitable candidate.
Please note that some out-of-hours work may be required during school holiday periods, such as leading up to the commencement of School, stocktake and uniform fitting days.
As theCanteen and Uniform Shop Assistantyou will work closely with the Canteen and Uniform Shop Manager and Canteen Coordinators to:
Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system and EFTPOS terminal to provide efficient and friendly customer service
Reconciling daily payments, including cash, EFTPOS, and student ID card transactions
Counting and balancing cash, reconciling against POS records, and preparing daily banking
Opening and closing the canteen, ensuring adequate time for food preparation and service
Assisting with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food
Receiving and unpacking deliveries of food and uniforms, checking items against order forms




Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment across the canteen and uniform shop, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
Supporting students and families with uniform fittings, sizing, and ordering
Assisting with packing online orders and distributing items to other campuses
Contributing to stocktake activities and stock control processes
