About the role
This is a dual leadership and operational role. You'll lead our commercial property management team while personally driving facilities management across the portfolio so it suits someone who's equally comfortable mentoring a team and rolling up their sleeves on site.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll oversee the commercial property management team and be the primary point of contact for trade contractors, building owners and occupiers on maintenance and compliance. Your portfolio consists of a varied range of commercial tenancies, with as required facilities assistance across our residential and strata portfolios.
What you'll do
-Lead the commercial property management team (2 direct reports), ensuring KPIs and service delivery are met through regular supervision and fortnightly WIPs
-Assess, coordinate and quality-check all repairs, maintenance and reactive works across the portfolio
-Engage and manage trade contractors procurement, contracts, KPIs and compliance (insurances, licences, WHS)
-Coordinate commercial fitouts, make-good and defects from application through to completion
-Plan and deliver building alterations and capital works, scope quotes, program works.
-Contribute to asset management plans, capex forecasting and client reporting
-Keep the portfolio compliant with WHS, the Building Code of Australia and fire safety, including Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS)
About you




- Demonstrated experience in facilities, building or property management
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Sound knowledge of building maintenance, trades and NSW compliance (WHS, BCA, fire safety)
- Proven ability to engage and manage contractors to scope, budget and standard
- Strong organiser who stays calm across competing priorities
- Excellent communicator with owners, tenants, contractors and colleagues
- Valid NSW driver's licence (company vehicle provided)
**Desirable:** Certificate IV or higher in Property Services, Facilities Management or Building & Construction; experience with property software (Console, REST, PropertyMe, MRI or similar); knowledge of strata/body corporate frameworks; capital works or project management experience; Real Estate Certificate of Registration (or willingness to obtain).
