Package Up To $679,000 + Rent-Free Accommodation + 50% Attraction Incentive Sante Recruitment is delighted to partner with the North West Hospital and Health Service to recruit a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for Mount Isa Hospital, the regional referral and birthing hub for North West Queensland.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a supportive specialist team delivering comprehensive women's health services across one of Australia's largest and most geographically diverse health regions.
Permanent and fixed-term opportunities are available, with flexible full-time and part-time arrangements considered.
The Role Based at Mount Isa Hospital, you will provide specialist obstetric and gynaecological services to women across North West Queensland, including rural, remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The service manages approximately 420 births annually and offers a broad and rewarding scope of practice encompassing:
Antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
General and operative gynaecology
Colposcopy services
Emergency obstetric and gynaecological care
Outreach and rural women's health services
Clinical leadership and service development
Teaching, mentoring and supervision of junior medical staff and trainees
This position offers a unique combination of specialist practice, procedural work, outreach medicine and leadership responsibilities within a highly valued regional service.

Essential Requirements To be considered, applicants must possess:
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Specialist Registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent specialist qualification
Current C Class Driver Licence
Eligibility to work in Australia
