Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking a friendly, energetic, and patient‐focused Patient Services Officer to join our dedicated team.
In this important frontline role, you will help create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors.
Your professionalism, positivity, and commitment to exceptional service will help ensure every person who enters our hospital feels cared for and respected.
As a Patient Services Officer you will be responsible for providing a courteous, effective and efficient patient support services.
This includes obtaining the required medical records; running i.PM reports, maintain information for electronic whiteboard, patient transport bookings, handling telephone inquiries, providing general clerical support for the clinical team as requested.

Selection criteria
Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with an excellent telephone manner.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team in periods of high demand and activity
Experience with.i.
PM and medical record management
Commitment to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Employment details
Salary Classification: Administration Officer Grade 3 Year 1 - 2
Remuneration: $***** to $***** per hour + super + annual leave loading
