SuniTAFE is seeking an enthusiastic and industry-experienced Occupational Health & Safety professional to join our Mildura Campus Teacher - OHS. In this rewarding position, this role will deliver and assess OHS qualifications from Certificate III through to Diploma level by working closely with the Education Delivery Manager – Automotive, Transport and Logistics. This role will also contribute to the development of programs that meet industry, community and workforce needs across Mildura and the surrounding region.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and assess Work Health & Safety qualifications.
Facilitate WorkSafe-approved Construction Induction (White Card) and Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training.
Design, develop and maintain high-quality learning and assessment resources.
Undertake assessment, validation, moderation, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) processes.
Provide engaging training through face-to-face, online, workplace-based, and blended delivery methods.
Develop and maintain Learning and Training Plans for individuals and groups.
Monitor student progress and provide regular, timely and constructive feedback to support successful outcomes.
Coordinate student selection, induction, and support activities, including participation in student progress interviews.

successful
candidate
will
be
required
to
provide:
A criminal record check which is less than 6 months old.
A valid Working With Children Check.

A cover letter addressing the Key Selection criteria (no more than 2 pages)
Key Selection Criteria:
Relevant Industry Qualification (Specifically the Diploma of Work Health & Safety (BSB*****), and unit CPCCWHS****
A minimum of three years professional industry experience where OHS was either a full-time responsibility or a major part of that role
Have a solid, detailed understanding of the Victorian OHS Act ****, in particular all sections relevant to the purpose of HSRs and their powers, protections and entitlements
Have relevant experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment
Current Certificate IV TAE***** or TAE***** are essential to this position.
Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
The ability to collaborate with a diverse learner population.
Well-developed skills in teaching including the ability deal with tight timelines and conflicting demands.
Commitment to deliver high-quality programs across a range of qualification levels.
