The role: Production Worker / Forklift Operator
In this role you will be an all rounder. Your day will consist of assisting the Production team in stock preparation for chemical batches as well as operating both High Reach and Counter Balance forklifts. You will not be involved in the mixing of chemicals or creating batches but will assist the production team in preparation for these tasks.
Your main duties will involve:
Production:
Using Manual handling aids to move bags of powdered products as well as drums of liquid products for the production team
Handling drums and containers of chemicals such as alkaline and acid products
Sorting of chemical containers by batch, serial and Bar codes
Moving chemicals to production locations for the mixing and batching team
Palletising final products
Use of Shrink wrapper machinery
General production floor cleaning including using high pressure hoses to clean floors and machinery
Counter Balance forklift:




Moving palletised stock from receiving into the production area
Moving palletised stock from the production area to receiving
Moving palletised stock to racking and storage areas
High Reach Forklift:
Putaways and picking up to 5 racks high
Transportation stock from the floor up to a 2nd storey Mezzanine floor
Putaways of stock into racking
Computer / Admin based work:
Printing of product labels via SAP
Attaching labels to cartons, drums and containers of stock
Package materials and finished goods as required
Manual handling of up to 25kgs
The Candidate
Chemical manufacturing experience
Counter Balance forklift experience
High Reach forklift experience
An excellent understanding of chemical handling and WHS standards
Vacuum based manual handling aide operating experience
Pallet Jack operation
Computer data entry / Label Printing
Manual handling of up to 25kgs
Must commit to the full working hours
Positive attitude and attention to detail
Capacity to work autonomously as well as within a team
Must have Full Australian work rights
Advantageous
Dangerous Goods Handling certificate
Experience using SAP
