Staff Specialist - Paediatric Endocrinology (Temp PT - 0.8FTE)

Location: Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, Campbelltown-Camden Hospital, South Western Sydney Local Health District.
Employment Type: Temporary 0.8FTE until **********.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical management and treatment of paediatric patients, including inpatient consulting and outpatient clinics at Liverpool Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, and Primary & Community Health Centres.
Deliver care within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
Adapt clinical practice to contemporary evidence‐based best practice.
Implement service objectives of a public health organization, including community service provision, effective resource utilisation, and participation in LHD-level health services.
Commit to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
Participate in teaching and training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising junior medical staff.
Pursue continuing professional development and self‐education.
Participate in hospital, service or LHD on‐call roster.
Collaborate cooperatively with multidisciplinary health care teams.
Qualifications
Current medical practitioner,
registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the RACP with specialist recognition in paediatric endocrinology or general paediatrics with an interest in paediatric endocrinology, or equivalent recognition under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of clinical practice and adapt according to contemporary evidence‐based best practice.
Understanding and commitment to the challenges of delivering paediatric endocrinology services in South Western Sydney LHD.
Evidence of compliance with the service objectives of a public health organisation and readiness to participate at an LHD level.
Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
Experience supervising junior medical staff and providing teaching and training.
Demonstrated continued self‐education and professional development.
Preparedness to participate in on‐call roster.
Ability to work cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams.
