About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic
Dental Nurse / Dental Assistant
to join our friendly team in a
4-day per week maternity leave position
, commencing in
end of September ****
.
This position is expected to run for approximately
12 months
, however the exact duration will depend on the return of the employee from parental leave.
A comprehensive handover period with our current dental nurse will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
The position is primarily chairside dental assisting and sterilisation, with opportunities to expand your skills by learning reception and other areas of the practice over time.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional patient care and support.
Chairside assisting across a variety of dental procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms and maintain high clinical standards.
Perform instrument sterilisation and maintain infection control protocols.
Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical workplace.




Develop a thorough understanding of practice procedures to confidently assist patients and clinicians.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Opportunity to learn reception and basic laboratory duties.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 3 years' experience working in a dental practice.
Previous chairside dental assisting experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience using dental practice management software.

A genuine commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
Reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic.
Previous reception experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
