What you'll be doing:
Using innovative, evidence-based education, as the Registered Nurse you'll provide recovery focused mental health support to people with complex needs.
You will:
Delivering safe, compassionate and person centred mental health care, working alongside consumers to support their recovery goals
Completing holistic mental health and physical health assessments and developing recovery focused care plans
Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, consumers, families and carers to deliver coordinated care
Advocating for consumers and supporting them through their inpatient recovery journey using trauma informed principles
Facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational activities and groups within the unit
Ensuring high quality clinical documentation, medication management and compliance with the NSW Mental Health Act
Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA




Demonstrated experience providing care to mental health consumers within a recovery oriented framework
Understanding of relevant mental health legislation, guidelines, and the responsibilities relating to consumers, families and carers.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution.
Hold a current Class C Drivers licence and hold a paid NSW Working With Children Check
