An excellent opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team in Palliative and supportive care working 2 days a week for 12 months at Nepean hospital.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Supportive and Palliative Care service at NBMLHD, you will be the steady,



compassionate presence ensuring every patient and carer experiences a seamless, dignified journey across the entire continuum of care.
In this pivotal position, you'll work at the heart of a deeply collaborative network, partnering with community health teams, general practitioners, hospital clinicians and the broader supportive and palliative care service.
Your leadership will help shape and coordinate high‐quality end‐of‐life and palliative care across outpatient clinics, inpatient settings and directly within the home, ensuring that every individual receives care that is both clinically exceptional and profoundly human.

What you will bring to the role
Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife Division 1 with AHPRA.
Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in Palliative Care or relevant specialty, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate.
Commitment to champion, educate and lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes as part of a team.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities according to best practice.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, family/carers and a diverse range of health care providers.
Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice development.
Current Drivers License and ability to travel within the LHD in accordance with the position.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
