Biloela State High School is seeking a Head of Special education Services (HOSES) for a temporary full-time position until 18 September 2026, unless otherwise determined. About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate inclusive education programs by managing the Special Education and/or Early Childhood Development Program, providing expert advice, and ensuring effective adjustments and targeted interventions for students with disability.
- Build staff capability and cooperative practice by supporting teachers and school staff with specialist advice, professional learning, case management, and access to departmental and external services to improve student outcomes.
- Drive strategic planning and accountability by contributing to school leadership and decision-making, implementing school-wide systems, monitoring student data, and ensuring compliance with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
- Strengthen partnerships and manage resources by working collaboratively with families, government agencies, and community organisations, while effectively managing human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve inclusive education goals.
