Job Description
Approximately 30 hours per week, with additional hours available during peak operational periods. About the Role: Down to Earth Pty Ltd is seeking reliable workers to undertake plantation operations on a sandalwood farm in the Ayr region.
Sandalwood planting and maintenance
Plantation establishment and maintenance
Weed control
Irrigation installation and maintenance
Chainsaw operation
Tractor, excavator and forklift operation
General manual labour
Loading and unloading materials
About the Candidate
General plantation duties as directed
No previous plantation experience is required for Sandalwood Labour positions, as full on-the-job training will be provided.
Be physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work.
Be reliable and punctual.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be willing to work in varying weather conditions.
Have a positive attitude and solid work ethic.
For chainsaw,



tractor, excavator and forklift operator positions, applicants must hold any licences or competencies required by law.
Training: Full on-the-job training will be provided for suitable applicants.
Work Workplace
Employment Duration: Approximately 9 months. Award: Timber Industry Award - General Timber Stream Pay and Conditions:
Pay and conditions are in accordance with the Timber Industry Award - General Timber Stream. The rate of pay will be dependent on experience, skills and classification under the Award. Current minimum hourly rates include:
Sandalwood Labour - Level 2: From $* per hour
Tractor, Excavator & Forklift Operators - Level 3: From $* per hour
Chainsaw Operator (Non-Experienced) - Level 3: From $* per hour
