The Craigie Tavern is a family‑owned and operated local tavern located in the Northern suburb of Craigie, Western Australia. The tavern features a Bistro, Lounge Bar, Sports Bar with TAB facilities and a Bottle Shop.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Duty Manager with strong attention to detail and a passion for customer service to join our management team and assist with the day‑to‑day operations across all areas of the establishment. This position is ideal for a hospitality manager who brings a positive attitude, is team‑oriented, can work autonomously and demonstrates strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the management team with all aspects of operations and lead by example with a hands‑on approach. Liaise with others to ensure the smooth running of shifts while maintaining high service standards in a fast‑paced environment. Mentor staff and lead training and development.

Qualifications & Requirements

- At least one year of management experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, particularly with bar and restaurant experience.
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to work autonomously and be team‑oriented.
- Excellent communication skills,



neat presentation and a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of relevant liquor and food service requirements, including licensing requirements.
- Reliable, honest, trustworthy, organised and good time‑management skills.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster across seven days a week (including public holidays) with opening and closing duties.
- Hold a valid Western Australian Approved Managers Card, Australian driver’s licence, RSA certificate and food‑handling certificate.
- Must be an Australian permanent resident or have permanent residency status.
- Have or be willing to obtain a valid police clearance.
- Have or be willing to obtain TAB compliance certification within the first month of employment.
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
