Richmond Futures is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to provide evidence-based counselling and therapeutic support to older adults living in residential aged care facilities who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns.

Using a person-centred and strengths-based approach, you will support participants experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, adjustment to aged care, health changes, loss of independence and relationship challenges.

You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and registration, accreditation or eligibility with an appropriate professional body, including:

- Counsellors: ACA Level 2 or above, or PACFA Provisional Level 2 or above
- Psychologists: Working towards registration
- Social workers: Accredited Social Worker or working towards accreditation
- Mental health nurses:



Credentialed or working towards credentialing

Essential criteria

- Relevant tertiary qualification and professional registration or eligibility
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide assessment, care planning and therapeutic interventions
- Ability to work independently and manage appointments, travel and administration
- Ability to build positive relationships with participants, families, aged care staff and stakeholders
- Commitment to supervision, professional development and reflective practice
- Current Australian driver licence

Experience in aged care, mental health, counselling, group facilitation or community services is desirable but not essential.
