As a Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver and assess a range of nationally recognised qualifications and short courses in pre-hospital health care and emergency response.
This role is ideal for an experienced paramedic, nurse, military medic or other pre-hospital healthcare professional looking to transition from frontline clinical practice into a rewarding education and training career.
Working from our purpose-built Balcatta training centre, and occasionally at client sites throughout Australia, you'll deliver engaging, practical and nationally recognised training that prepares learners for real-world workplace environments.
Courses may include:
- HLT41120 Certificate IV in Health Care
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid
- HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
- Industry-specific medical training
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess nationally recognised qualifications and units of competency
- Facilitate engaging classroom, practical and simulation-based training
- Conduct competency-based assessments and provide constructive learner feedback
- Prepare training resources and equipment for course delivery
- Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation
- Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain vocational competency and industry currency
- Travel to client sites throughout Western Australia and interstate when required
- Uphold the highest standards of training quality, compliance and customer service
About You
You will have:
Essential
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent meeting current Standards for RTOs)
- Demonstrated experience in pre-hospital healthcare as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse or other suitably qualified emergency healthcare skilled
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
Desirable
- Experience within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector
- Industrial, mining or remote health experience
