What your day could look like

As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Worker, you'll be a trusted connection between people, families and healthcare services. Your work will help remove barriers to care, strengthen community wellbeing and create positive experiences for people at every stage of their health journey. You'll enjoy meaningful relationships, variety in your work and the opportunity to keep growing your skills while making a real difference close to home.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

- Supporting people and families to access the care, services and information they need to thrive.
- Building strong partnerships across the community to create better health and wellbeing outcomes.

- Advocating for culturally safe, person-centred care that strengthens trust and connection.

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who leads with compassion, builds trust through integrity and values the power of genuine relationships. You bring cultural knowledge, practical experience and a commitment to helping people achieve better health outcomes. Whether you're supporting a family,

working alongside colleagues or connecting with community partners, you're motivated by creating positive change and leaving a lasting impact.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

- A recognised Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care qualification and current C Class Driver Licence.
- Experience supporting individuals, families and communities through healthcare, wellbeing or community-based services.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work confidently and independently.
- A commitment to culturally safe practice and improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in community outreach, health promotion, care coordination or mentoring others.

Above all, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health: compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage.

This is an opportunity to grow your career while helping build healthier, stronger communities.
