The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Fixed Term, Fulltime, Secondary Years Teacher of Mathematics Plus a Second Teaching Area to join our 7 to 12 years teaching team at Toowoomba Anglican School.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering engaging, rigorous, and relevant Mathematics learning experiences. The successful applicant will support students to develop confidence, curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts.

As a Secondary Years Teacher of Mathematics, you will contribute to a future-focused learning environment, support student progress through effective teaching and assessment practices, and play an active role in the wider life and culture of the School.

Commencing January 2027 and concluding on December 2027, with potential of permanency.

What You’ll Do

- Deliver high-quality Mathematics teaching across the Secondary Years
- Create engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning experiences that support student growth and achievement
- Plan, prepare, and deliver curriculum in line with national, state, QCAA, and School requirements
- Use data-informed teaching practices to monitor student progress and respond to individual learning needs
- Develop students’ numeracy, reasoning, problem-solving, and mathematical confidence
- Maintain accurate records of student learning, assessment, progress, and reporting
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support positive learning outcomes
- Use ICT effectively to enhance teaching, learning, assessment, and student engagement
- Contribute to a collaborative and professional Mathematics teaching team
- Support the pastoral care, wellbeing, and holistic development of students
- Contribute positively to the life of the School, including co-curricular, community, and whole-school activities

What You’ll Bring





- A recognised teaching qualification and current Queensland College of Teachers registration
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in Mathematics
- Strong knowledge of current curriculum requirements, including QCAA expectations where relevant
- A commitment to data-informed practice and continuous improvement in teaching and learning
- Effective ICT skills and the ability to use technology to support student learning
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- The ability to manage time effectively and work professionally to meet deadlines
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues, students, and families
- A commitment to professional learning and involvement in relevant professional associations, such as Mathematics teaching associations
- A genuine passion for supporting students to feel known, valued, challenged, and encouraged to thrive
