We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This role will be based in Sydney. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

WHS Consultant

A unique WHS consulting opportunity exists within our national consulting practice. This role is client‑focused and will deliver data‑driven advisory services and be responsible for end‑to‑end project delivery. You will translate client needs into actionable safety solutions, apply rigorous risk analysis, and drive measurable safety outcomes.

The WHS consultant role reports to the Managing Consultant. You will join a team of specialist consultants in the delivery of strategic WHS services to a broad range of clients across varied industries.

We will count on you to:

- Build strong and collaborative relationships with clients to support their WHS outcomes.
- Provide clients and client executives with solutions to their WHS and risk management concerns.
- Analyse client needs through the use of data and analytics as well as listening to client needs.
- Recommend suitable strategies, approaches or options based on analysis.
- Contribute to proposals and project plans, including tender responses to varying levels of complexity based on client needs.
- Participate in projects and deliver against project plans including scope, time and budget.
- Deliver written and verbal reports/advice that is technically accurate, timely and of the highest quality and professional standards.

What you need to have:

- Tertiary degree in Work Health and Safety or any relevant field (minimum Cert IV WHS and relevant experience will be considered).




- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a dedicated WHS or related role is desirable – less experience in a related role will be considered.
- Thorough knowledge of WHS legislation and current issues in WHS.
- Understanding and application of risk management principles in the management of WHS hazards.
- Strong communication skills: active listening to clients, problem analysis, probing questions, clear explanation of WHS concepts, adapting style to diverse audiences, and building skilled rapport.
- Current drivers licence and ability for regional/interstate and overnight travel.
- Exemplar Global OHS auditor accreditation (desirable).
