We are seeking an experienced Vac Truck / Hydro Excavation & Drain Cleaning Operator to join our growing South Australian business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and has experience operating vacuum excavation equipment, high-pressure drain cleaning units, and stormwater maintenance equipment. CCTV inspection experience would be highly regarded.
Our team works across civil, commercial, industrial and utility sectors, delivering professional services in:
- Hydro excavation and non-destructive digging (NDD)
- Drain and sewer cleaning
- Stormwater pit and line cleaning
- CCTV drain inspections
- General vacuum loading and waste removal services
- Support for underground service locating activities
Key Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum excavation trucks safely and efficiently
- Perform hydro excavation and non-destructive digging around underground assets
- Maintain equipment to a high operational standard
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and team members on site
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and industry regulations
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience operating vac trucks and hydro excavation equipment
- Experience in drain cleaning and high-pressure water jetting
- Current HR Driver's Licence (minimum)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessments and drug and alcohol screening
Highly Desirable
- CCTV drain inspection experience
- Service locating experience
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Working at Heights certification
- First Aid qualification
- HC Licence
- Experience working within civil construction or utilities sectors
